KONGSBERG Inaugurates New Building in India
Kongsberg Maritime India inaugurated its new office building on 24th April 2013 at Mahape, Navi Mumbai.
Kongsberg Maritime has been operating in India for close to six decades now and had been working through their Asia Pacific office and agent network. In 2008, Kongsberg Maritime commenced business officially in Mumbai, India and since then the team has experienced a significant growth, something which called for an independent office building.
The building substantiates the long term commitment to the local market and the philosophy of being close to the customers “Be Global Act Local”. The opening was marked by a two day celebration with employees on the first day and with dignitaries and guests from the Industry on the next day.
The Indian tradition of lighting up a lamp to make an auspicious beginning was done by Hon. Dy. Chief of Mission, Minister Counselor at the Royal Norwegian Embassy – Mr. Sigvald Hauge. The dignitaries and guests toured the new facilities.
Mr. Geir Håøy, President - Kongsberg Maritime, addressed the guests and declared “the office open”. The CEO of Kongsberg Maritime India, Mr. Halvard Sagdahl gave a gratification speech and assured to live to the values of Kongsberg and the Indian Culture.
