Jee Founder Nominated in Offshore Achievement Awards

Jee Ltd, a leading independent multi-discipline subsea engineering and training firm, has received a nomination for its managing director, Trevor Jee, in the category of Inspiring Leader at the upcoming Offshore Achievement Awards.

Trevor is founder and managing director of the company, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013. He began Jee as a one-person consultancy which he has developed to become a company of nearly 100 employees, with three UK bases and subsea capabilities spanning the whole life-of-field. In addition to driving the growth of high quality engineering services, Trevor has steered the creation of a global portfolio of industry-recognised subsea courses which have been delivered in 32 countries.

Trevor has excelled as the leader of the Jee team by fostering homegrown talent and creating a truly open-door policy for advice and feedback for all staff and customers.

He said: “I am honoured to be shortlisted for this award. I am extremely proud of the Jee team and am delighted to witness the company’s growth, especially last year’s milestone anniversary. I started Jee with a clear vision of how I wanted the company to evolve and it’s been hugely rewarding to see it come to fruition so far.

“I am passionate about providing inspiration to the staff at Jee and am pleased to see that the MPDS and other initiatives have been so well-received and able to shape the staff and culture at Jee. All of our dedicated employees have been integral in the company’s development and success, and I am delighted to have the chance to work with each one of them in some capacity.”

Jenny Matthew, head of courses at Jee said: “Trevor has inspired many within Jee and we are thrilled with his nomination. He has built a company with a sterling reputation in the oil and gas industry and his recognition is well-deserved. He is a dedicated leader and we look forward to supporting him on the night of the awards.”

The winner will be announced at a black tie award ceremony on 20 March 2014 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, which will celebrate outstanding success within the UK offshore industry in categories including safety innovations, new technologies and individual achievement.
