Hydrex's Ecoshield Shortlisted for Seatrade Innovation in Ship Operations Award

An independent judging panel of maritime industry leading figures has selected the shortlist of finalists for the 26th Seatrade Awards, to be held this year at London’s Guildhall on 14 April.

Hydrex’s Ecoshield is among the shortlisted candidates for the Seatrade Innovation in Ship operations Award.

Chaired by IMO Secretary-General, Koji Sekimizu, the judging panel will decide the winners of these prestigious annual awards only hours before the Ceremony Dinner, where the results will be revealed.

Ecoshield is an ultimate rudder protection coating for permanent protection against cavitation damage for rudders. The glassflake reinforced coating protects the rudder for the service life of the ship without need for recoating or major repair and comes with a ten-year guarantee. Ecoshield is also suitable for bulbous bow, stabilizer fins, thruster nozzles and other underwater ship gear which needs special protection from corrosion.
