Viper Subsea Runs for Technology Innovation Award

Viper Subsea has been shortlisted in the Private Business Awards 2014 for the Technology Innovation of the Year Award. These national awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate the very best of the UK’s privately owned businesses.

To be eligible businesses must have their headquarters in the UK as well as UK based operations.

The nomination specifically recognises the contribution Viper Subsea’s latest product V-LIFE is making to the Oil and Gas industry in providing technical and cost saving solutions to electrical insulation resistance problems. Viper Subsea unveiled the V-LIFE in September last year and since its launch has quickly began to make a major impact in dealing with water ingress problems on ageing umbilicals and the recently received the prestigious Innovation & Technology Award for its V-LIFE product at the Subsea UK Business Awards 2014.

Neil Douglas, Managing Director of Viper Subsea, said “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award and we are really proud to see our innovation and technological advances being recognised on a national scale.”

The Private Business Awards are sponsored by PwC. Senior Partner, Ruby Parmar, explains their importance: “All too often private businesses are seen as less glamorous than listed companies, so it’s great for us to be able to support private business awards and help showcase the businesses that are the foundation of the British economy.”

The Winners will be announced at the Private Business Awards dinner which will be held on Wednesday 10th September at the Guildhall in London.
