Geo Oceans Wins 2014 Subsea Energy Australia Innovation and Technology Award

Geo Oceans have been awarded the 2014 Subsea Energy Australia Innovation and Technology Award at a recent awards ceremony held in Perth.

The award is sponsored by Technip and recognises Geo Oceans’ technology development achievements over the past several years.

The judging panel made the following comments: ”A Perth based marine science consultancy that specializes in the development & use of diverless subsea technology to collect data for marine science applications. The judges were particularly impressed by Geo Oceans’ ability to identify an industry opportunity, to develop the technology to meet the industry’s marine survey requirements more effectively than traditional methods whilst improving safety and reducing costs. Geo Oceans’ continued re-investment of revenue into R&D and product development and ultimately their ability to export their expertise make Geo Oceans’ submission a worthy winner of this category.”

The Subsea Energy Australia business awards have been designed to celebrate excellence and innovation across the Subsea Energy Industry and acknowledge the achievements of individuals and companies of all sizes.

This is the second year in a row Geo Oceans has won a Subsea Energy Australia Award after receiving the Wood Group Kenny New Enterprise award in 2013. Geo Oceans technology has now been deployed on major mining and oil and gas projects throughout Australia and South East Asia for a range of multinational and local clients.
