Kvaerner celebrated the completion of the Edvard Grieg project at Kvaerner’s yard in Verdal on Wednesday.

The jacket was named “Solveig” based on historical Norwegian culture.

“Solveig”, with a height of 134 meters, and a total weight of approximately 14 500 tonnes, will be number 41 in the series of jackets delivered by Kvaerner.

The jacket will be installed in circa 110-115 metres water depth within the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea in 2014 and the production start is planned in 2015.
