Dolphin’s Sanco Sword Conducts Surveys in Barents Sea

Dolphin’s new high-capacity 3D seismic vessel, Sanco Sword, is in full seismic production with 12 seismic cables of 7 km length on the Gotha North and Gotha East Multi-Client surveys in the Barents Sea.

The prospective Gotha survey areas are planned and designed together with local area operators, which also provide project pre-funding to allow for the survey to be acquired in time for the Norwegian 23rd. and APA 2014 licensing round.

Dolphin`s COO, Peter Hooper, commented; “This is another milestone in Dolphin’s history delivering further safe capacity to the high end 3D marine market, and we are proud to yet again demonstrate the organisation’s ability to take a high-end vessel into production with a wide-tow configuration immediately and in only 11 days following delivery. We expect the same excellent operational performance from the Sanco Sword as delivered to date by her sister vessel, the Sanco Swift.”
