FTA Calls for Tenders for Hydrographic Surveys in Finnish Lake Areas
The Finnish Transport Agency (FTA), a government agency operating under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, has issued a tender invitation for the provision of hydrographic surveys in Finnish lake areas of Lake Saimaa.
As FTA announced, the results of these hydrographic surveys will be used in updating nautical charts and associated navigational publications.
A comprehensive multi-beam echo sounder survey of the areas is critical for the efficient routing and safe navigation of all types of shipping.
The contract value is 500,000 EUR, and the project is expected to last 9 months.
The deadline for the submission of tenders is June 10, 2014.
