‘Ernest Shackleton’ Joins Seabed Survey at Gwynt y Môr OWF

Survey vessel RRS Ernest Shackleton will be undertaking seabed investigations at various locations within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm site from May 30.

The RRS Ernest Shackleton is joining as an additional vessel to assist in the survey work that started earlier in 2014. The other two vessels deployed at the site are Confidante and Discovery.

All work will be conducted within the Gwynt y Môr site boundary. Other vessels are advised to observe a 500m safety zone around the vessels engaged in investigation or diving operations.
