Gwynt y Môr Cable Installation Underway

Cable laying vessel Sia, owned by CT Offshore, is continuing inter-array cable installation at the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm site.

Some 48 cables are now left to be installed.

All 160 wind turbine generators at the offshore wind farm are now installed.

A2SEA’s jack-up vessel Sea Worker,  supported by Sea Bravo and Sea Echo, was deployed to install Siemens’ 3.6MW turbines. Now, the work is underway on the last wind turbine to fit the blades.

Gwynt y Môr will have an installed capacity of 576MW and will be capable of meeting the average annual energy needs of around 400,000 homes.
