CT Offshore Carries Out Cable Installation at Borkum Riffgrund 1 OWF

The outlook for the coming year of 2014 has become even more promising for CT Offshore A/S just having signed the contract with DONG Energy to carry out the cable installation and burial of inter-array cables at Borkum Riffgrund 1 OWF.

This task is going to be the first project in German waters for CT Offshore. The company’s cable installation vessel SIA will be supported by the two vessels MV NICO and MV SANDER 2, also owned and operated by CT Offshore, installing a total number of 43 cables at this important 277MW wind farm project.

“With this newly awarded contract in hand CT Offshore once again proofs that it has become an important player within the offshore wind industry”, says CT Offshore CEO, Frank Hansen.

The cable installation is planned to start Mid-June and is expected to be finish by End-August this year. CT Offshore intends to be operating from the harbours of Nordenham, Borkum and Eemshaven.
