Petrojarl Knarr FPSO

Petrojarl Knarr is one of Teekay’s largest FPSO projects to date. In 2011, Teekay Corporation announced an agreement to provide BG Norge Limited with a FPSO unit for the Knarr field.

Earler this week, the new floating production vessel Petrojarl Knarr has arrived from Korea at Aibel’s shipyard in Haugesund, where the ship will be prepared before installation on the Knarr field.

Petrojarl Knarr was built by Samsung in Korea for Teekay. The floating production vessel is 256 metres long and 48 metres wide. The ship has a production capacity of 63,000 barrels a day, and a storage capacity of 800,000 barrels. Petrojarl Knarr will operate on the Knarr field located west of Florø. Operator is BG Norge.
