FTA Plans Hydrographic Survey Off Finland

The Finnish Transport Agency intends to conduct a hydrographic survey in the Finnish EEZ, territorial waters and inland waters.

The work scope of the project consists of multibeam echo sounder system hydrographic survey on shipping routes, as well as the aerial surveys.

The project is planned to be performed in the survey seasons 2015 to 2016, with an approximate value of $5.1 million (€4 million).

Rough areas are in the Bay of Bothnia about 1.300 km², Bothnian Sea about 7.200 km² and inland waters some 550 km².

The agency will post several open invitation to tenders, with specified areas for hydrographic services, later this year.
