Det norske oljeselskap ASA is the operator of the Alvheim and Bøyla fields, in blocks 24/6 and 24/9 in the central North Sea, close to the boundary with the UK Continental Shelf.

The Alvheim field has been developed using a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit. The field includes three discoveries: Boa, East Kameleon and Kneler. These have been developed using individual subsea facilities tied back to the Alvheim FPSO.

The Bøyla field is around 28 kilometres south of Alvheim. The field has been developed using a subsea facility tied back to the Alvheim FPSO.

Water depth at both sites is around 120 metres.

The PSA has given Det norske consent for these activities until the end of 2015.
