Seascape in Jakarta’s Main Gas Line Survey

PT Seascape Surveys Indonesia has performed a pre-engineering survey on Jakarta’s main gas line, operated by PGN, after securing a contract from SGI/KDS consortium.

Seascape provided the SOV Endeavour, equipped with twin Seaeye Tiger ROVs, Air Diving, Survey and Inspection services, to complete the required scope of work.

At a working depth of approximately 25 metres, divers were required to carry out preparation of the pipeline and ultrasonic inspection of a damaged section prior to a hyperbaric repair being performed later in the year.

Core sampling was carried out to confirm the density of the seabed and ROV survey to ensure the overall area was clear of debris that could interfere with later installation of the welding habitat.
