Planet Ocean, GABRI Ink AUV Distribution Agreement
Planet Ocean announces partnership with Italian Autonomous Underwater Vehicle manufacturer GABRI s.r.l covering the UK and Ireland.
The agreement covers distribution of the GABRI “SEASTICK” AUV.
The SEASTICK AUV incorporates two variable pitch thrusters using low power, silent, frictionless, magnetic induction motors which make it extremely maneuverable allowing hovering and vertical movement in the water column, the company explained.
The SEASTICK can also be used with a tether turning it into a Remotely Operated Vehicle. The all plastic construction gives it an extremely low magnetic signature.
The Seastick Control software allows quick management of maneuverability, functionality and on board sensors, the company added.
