Singapore’s Ezra has informed that its non-executive chairman Koh Poh Tiong, will give up his post with effect from February 1, 2016 to focus on his work with the other organisations that he is involved in.

According to the company, he will also relinquish his role as senior advisor to the Group.

Koh Poh Tiong has joined Ezra’s board as non-executive vice chairman and senior advisor in 2011 and has helmed the Group since the beginning of 2013.

Succeeding him is Ezra’s founder Lee Kian Soo, who will assume the position of non-executive chairman.

“With the completion of my contract with Ezra, it is an appropriate time to hand the baton back to our Group founder, Mr Lee Kian Soo,” said Koh Poh Tiong. “When I took over the Chairmanship, my aim was to grow Ezra as a global brand, streamline its operations and lower the Group’s gearing. This is on track with the new partnership between Chiyoda and Ezra’s Subsea Services division in progress, clearer structures for our various business lines, and our net gearing reduced to 0.8x. It is now time for me to step aside and focus on my other commitments. From now till 31 January 2016, I will be ensuring a smooth handover.
