Gardline Puts MV Bittern on Sea Trials

Marine survey specialist Gardline will see its new vessel go trough sea trials in Great Yarmouth this week prior to its launch.

The latest addition to Gardline’s fleet, the 23-meter MV Bittern was designed by Global Marine Design, with purpose built Z-Bows and has a 20 square meters foredeck with a carrying capacity of 5 tonnes.

According to the company, once the sea trials are complete the Bittern will be launched and delivered to Ramsgate to begin operational trials with London Array prior to heading back to Great Yarmouth to begin work on her first contract.

Phil Durrant, managing director of Gardline Environmental, said: “We are very excited to see the MV Bittern in action and a new capability added to our existing fleet. Feedback from clients during the build phase has been universally positive meaning that the vessel will go on to contract shortly after she is launched.”
