The video above shows summer 2016 subsea pipeline installation campaign on the Maria field, Wintershall’s flagship development in Norway.

Maria field is located in the Haltenbanken area of the southern Norwegian Sea, some 200 kilometers from the mainland.

The innovative field solution involves connecting the two seabed installations to three existing platforms in the Norwegian Sea.

In May last year, Wintershall contracted SURF specialist, Subsea 7, for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of 95km of rigid flowlines, direct electrical heating system, design and fabrication of structures, spools and GRP covers. Transport and installation of subsea production systems.

Project management and engineering work is being carried out at Subsea 7’s offices in Stavanger, Norway. Offshore activities are expected to be completed in 2017.

The Maria project is being developed for production in late 2018.
