BW Offshore Gets FPSO Umuroa Extension

Oslo-listed provider of floating production services to the oil and gas industry, BW Offshore, has received a one year contract extension for the lease and operation of the FPSO Umuroa.

The FPSO is operating on the Umuroa field offshore New Zealand for the Australian based oil and gas exploration and production company AWE.

The FPSO Umuroa is capable of processing up to 50 000 barrels of oil per day, 118 000 barrels of water per day and 120 000 barrels of total fluid per day, has a storage capacity of approximately 773 000 barrels and a gas compression capacity of 25 mmscfd. It is turret moored in a water depth of 120 meters.

The firm period has been extended to Q4 2016 from Q4 2015.
