Tenders Invited for New Subsea Cable Project (Canada)

The French Authority of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon has issued a tender invitation for the construction of a submarine cable to connect Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and Newfoundland (Canada).

This system is intended to provide transmission capacity for communications services and telecommunications needs of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

The infrastructure will be a submarine transmission system composed of optical cables in a “RING” structure with two landing points in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and two other landing points in Fortune and Lamaline, Newfoundland. The submarine system includes terrestrial cable to interconnect the landing stations.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is April 7, 2015.
