Jan de Nul Lands Tahkoluoto OWF Foundations on Seabed

Offshore contractor Jan de Nul said it has completed the installation of all ten foundations for Tahkoluoto offshore wind farm, developed by Finish wind power production company Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy.

Jan De Nul, as the main marine construction contractor, is responsible for dredging, seabed construction work, and the installation of foundations and wind turbines.

According to an email statement from the company, the wind turbine installation vessel Vole au Vent is currently preparing for the turbine installation.

“We hope to get the turbine installations started by the coming weekend,” Jan de Nul spokesperson said.

The Tahkoluoto wind farm will have ten 4,2 MW turbines which should start generating power during the autumn of 2017.
