Germany: GEO Finishes Geotechnical Site Investigations for Gode Wind I Offshore Wind Project

 

GEO has finished the geotechnical site investigations for the projected German offshore wind farm, Gode Wind I.

The investigations consisted of 77 deep CPTs, carried out from the vessel Blue Alfa. The offshore wind farm is located 40 km off the German coast, west of Cuxhaven. It will generate 231 MW and is owned by PNG WIND AG.

The offshore wind farm project “Gode Wind I” has already been approved by the Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency). In this project up to 80 offshore wind turbines can be set up with a power output of up to 400 MW.
