HelWin Beta Jacket Installation Nears Completion

The installation of the HelWin beta jacket in the German Sector of North Sea is nearing completion, Heerema Fabrication Group informed.

All 6 piles of the jacket have been driven into the seabed.

The welding of the piles to the jacket and levelling of the piles is due to commence soon.

The jacket is part of the HelWin beta HVDC platform, which is one of the main components of the TenneT DC offshore grid connection ‘HelWin2′.

The connection with a capacity of 690 MW will connect a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea.
